Disappearing Speaker's notes in Normal View

I am adding extensive speaker's notes to my slides, working in the
Notes View. When I send them to my client, they tend to open the show
in Normal view, with the separate Notes pane beneath the slide image on
the screen. However, some of my notes simply do not appear in this
view! You can see them in the full-page Notes view, but in the Normal
view all you see for that slide is "Click to add notes". This does not
happen to all slides.

When the client adds their own notes and sends them back to me, I find
another text box underneath mine in the Notes page view. Anybody ever
seen this problem?

Only text in the Notes Text placeholder on the notes page appears in the notes
pane in Normal view. If you/your client adds text boxes or other content
directly to the notes pages, you won't be able to see them in Normal view.

Sounds like what's going on here, doesn't it?

Yes, this is exactly what is happening. I'm doing a lot of cutting and
pasting of text boxes from other presentations. It makes sense. I'll
just have to tell them to review in Notes view.

Thanks for your insight.
