Do i need PIA or can i uninstall

warmsun

just bought a new laptop; plan to load office 2003 (don't like 2007 - too
many keystrokes for things i used to do in one!). new laptop came with office
2007 pia (primary interop assemblies) already installed. Is taht something
for developers or the common business user? Since I'm not using 2007, can i
remove this?
Thanks

If it's a new laptop with pre-installed software just make an image of your
total laptop (often som sort of rescue disc) and after that you can
uninstall. I anything doesn't work the way you want it to be you can always
put back the image you've created..

You can remove them. They are only needed for Office 2007 add-ins.
