I know that I can double click on a shape and get directed
to another page in the same file, but is it possible to
get directed to another shape on the same page?

Yes, you can link to another shape on the same page or on another page.

First, determine what the target shape's name is. You can do this by
right-clicking the target shape and selecting Format | Special. Copy the
text in the "Name" field. Close this dialog. Now select the shape you want
to link from, and select Insert | Hyperlinks. Press the Browse button next
to the "Sub-address" field. In the "Shape" field, paste the target shape's
name. Press OK. Press OK again.

Hope this helps!

Yes you can link to any shape in the same page or another
page within the same file. Right click on the shape you
want to link to. Select Format>>Special. In the new
window that pops up you must first name the shape then you
can use this name in the hyperlink you will create.

Next select the shape you want to link from and hit Ctrl-
K. Select the browse button beside the second data entry
window titled "Sub-Address" In the new window you can
select the exact page in the file you're working in, then
enter the name of the shape you want to link to and you
can even tell the link to zoom in or out when going to
that shape.

Hope that makes sense and works for you.
