Double Spacing Between Words on Outgoing Mail Messages

I’m having a phenomenon occur where Outlook 2003 is putting an extra space
between words on my sent/outgoing messages. When I draft the messages they
look fine. I did some searching but cannot find a solution to correct this.

Below is an Example:

Formatting Wanted:

“Hi Peter, I got your report today and everything looks positive.â€

Outgoing Format:

“Hi Peter, I got your report today and everything looks positive.â€
