Downloading Clipart from Clip Gallery Live

I have used Microsoft's Clip Gallery Live for many years with great success, even more recently on my Mac with MS Office 2008 for Mac. But for some reason, it now downloads the clip art but refuses to open it. It says that I need to open it with Office. But the only problem is...I am trying to open it with Office... Please advise. I need this feature.

Most likely your browser is causing the problem by not retaining the
extension. Once you download the file to your HD make sure it has an
extension of .cil, then just double-click it.

I have the same problem. I do not see the extension of the file to change it to .cil. Is there a way to do this? I downloaded to desktop.

If it has no extension after the download simply edit the file name to add
the .cil extension following the name. If it *does* have an extension,
change it to .cil - You can do either in a Finder window or on the Desktop.
It just depends on where the file is downloaded to.

See my reply to your other post. You don't have to do anything to "download
as .cil" - it's automatically *sent* that way. The problem is that some
Browsers *strip* the .cil extension or replace it with something else during
the download. There's nothing you can do to prevent it... Other than using a
different Browser & complaining to the developer of whatever Browser
presents the problem :)

Magic! It worked! NB I haven't had to do this before - I have downloaded updates to Office since last using/downloading Clipart so I think the update (or an update to Mac OSX?) has necessitated this. Thanks very much!
