E-Mail Options in the Office Suites

L

LPS

In the Office 2000 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), there is the
following functionality: File | Send To | Mail Recipient. This takes the
current file and inserts it as the message body of an e-mail. The file is
not an attachment; it actually becomes the e-mail message.

I cannot find this same functionality in any of the Office 2007
applications. I can find the regular E-Mail attachment feature as well as
attaching files to an e-mail as PDF orXPS attachments but I cannot find the
equivelent for inserting the file as the message body. Does this feature
exist in Office 2007 apps?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Depends on whatever unknown email program you've chosen as the
default in whatever unknown version of Windows you have.

The Mail to function in Office 2007 apps opens an Outlook 2007 msg window
with the file attached.

I have also been unable to find this information. A cut & paste
almost works, but definately not as convenient as the old feature.
Please let me know if you find a way around this - I can't imagine
they got rid of it...

My default apps specify my Outlook 07 as the default, so that can't be
it either....

The command you want isn't in the Ribbon by default it's still available.
Right-click your Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) and selected "Customize Quick
Access Toolbar". In the "Commands Not in the Ribbon" category locate "Send
to Mail Recipient" and it to your QAT.
