Elapsed tasks Filter still shows Summary tasks when none are elaps

This is a continuation of a post earlier this week but I still need to get to
the root of the problem.

I have a template with a custom filter in it which looks for elapsed tasks.
If I force the pre-built tasks in it to be elapsed then the custom filter
works fine ie it shows the elapsed tasks and the associated summary tasks.
If I then update the entire project to reschedule everything into the future
and then run the elapsed task filter then it doesn't display any tasks (which
is correct) but it displays their summary tasks!! How is this possible?

If I copy over the filter into a new file and using test tasks repeat the
process I do not get this problem - so what could be possibly wrong with my
original template. The odd behaviour is consistant so this is not a
corruption issue. I am not prepared just to update the filter to exclude
summary tasks because whilst it addresses the problem it doesn't explain it.

My filter is:-

% Complete does not equal 100%
and finish is less than [Today] * Today is a custom field = Date()

or
Start is less than or equal to [Today]
and Actual Start equals NA

Show Related summary tasks is unchecked - so I am also at a loss to know why
any summary tasks are being displayed at all.

Please can anyone help?

Hi,

Some (maybe most) summary tasks probably answer the conditions of the filter
so they are shown in their own right
Add a blank line then Summary equals No.
