First, I've got to say that the search in these forums is one of worst I've ever dealt with. There is no way to narrow down results at all.

On subject: I'm trying to show a flow thru a set of cells by drawing elbow arrow connectors. In this flow, I want all arrows to point to the right. But which way the arrow points seems to be based ONLY on how tall or how wide the connector is drawn. Is there any way to change or keep the arrows pointing in the direction I want?? Flip and rotation in the Format Palette is useless.

Which is why you should use Google Groups to search the archives, and a
real newsreader (or Entourage, if absolutely necessary) to post.

It's hard for me to envision what you're not able to do. If you draw the
connector from the edge of one object to the edge of another, you should
be able to position the start on the left, the end (arrow) on the right,
and have one or two yellow diamonds that allow you adjust the bend any
way you want.

If I want the arrow to point right, I simply position the arrow end is
to the right of the tail and vice versa. If the arrow ends are connected
to the connection points of other drawing objects, then moving the
objects will, of course, move the arrow.

Please don't hesitate to use the Website Feedback and/or Contact Us links at
the bottom of the page to forward any complaints about the site. I'm afraid
there's nothing that the folks here in the ng can do to change anything
-we're just users like anyone else - but your input may help. I'd also
suggest that you use Help> Send Feedback from Excel to communicate your
dissatisfaction with the web UI directly to MacBU.

Like John I'm not clear on the problem. Basically, however, when you use
that tool & others like it the direction you start dragging when you create
the arrow determines the direction the resulting arrow points. ie, If you
drag to the right the arrow points to the right, if you drag down the arrow
points downward... So if you want the arrow to point to the right, start
dragging to the right before you begin to drag up or down.
