Email for changes on tasks changes

MSPS 2007, all current updates.

Question - Is it possible to setup email alerts for tasks if they should
miss a date, when they have completed, or some other defined event?

I am talking about a Project Professional task, not anything on a sharepoint
site.

Our delima that I'm trying to address is that we have one large project to
execute, with several project managers and they each have their own piece and
project plan. There are some cross project dependencies, yet PMs don't have
access to all projects (read/write access) they need to, link to
dependencies. Attempting to manage this at the WSS level with deliverables
would be a night mare. One example is one person's plan everyone needs to
link to has up to 8 specific updates for a single room with 287 rooms. So
managing that as deliverables and the project plan just won't work.

Thoughts/ suggestions/ miracle email cure? :)

Thanks for anyone's input.

Hi,

within the Personal Settings of Proejct Server you have the abillity to set
email notifcation including if tasks are overdue.
Hope this helps

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the response, but that doesn't help. Unless....

I only see where I can do that if I'm assigned the task, what if I just need
to know about a certain task? Is there a way to set up an email alert for
that?

Thanks!
