Embedded drawing in web page

S

Staffan

I have two questions regarding Visio 2007 (and 2003):
1. When embedding a Visio drawing saved as web page I use <IFRAME
src="%%VIS_SAW_FILE%%"> in the page where the drawing is ment to be shown.
The drawing is not shown as wanted but in the page created by Visio <IFRAME
src="drawing-files/main_2.htm"> is created and the drawing is shown there.
How come?

2. I would like to be able to click on a hyperlink in a drawing to another
web page and this page should be viewed in a frame next to the drawing. Is
this possible in an easy way? I have tried to creat a frame but the linked
page just opens up in the whole window.

Hi Staffan,

John Goldsmith has been breaking down Visio's Save As Web features in a
series of articles. These are probably best places to start:

I also created a crude prototype of a custom html export that throws
away 95% of what Visio creates. You might find it interesting if nothing
else works:
