Entourage Keeps Crashing my system when opening mail attachments

Can anyone assist me.

When I open an Entourage email with attachments and double click on it my computer screen turns black and it tells me I need to power down and restart my computer.

I reinstalled all the software but the same issue keeps happening. I installed the latest 12.1.4 update to all the microsoft apps and not sure why it keeps doing this.

I even started saving all attachments to the desktop to open from there but then than the word and excel apps freezes when it tries to open them and still crashes my computer telling me to power down and restart.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Entourage Keeps Crashing my system when opening mail attachments

1) Drag an example to the Shared folder for testing. (Path to Shared:
"/Users/Shared")
2) Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the
New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching.
3) Open Entourage (no need to enter account info)
4) drag the message from Shared folder to the desktop and double click to
open.

Does the problem happen in the new User?

Are you sure you have downloaded the entire attachment?
