Entourage Locks Up and Won't Open

I have been using various versions of Entourage for years and it is the cornerstone of my business and personal life.

Last night, while sending out an email to a group of about 12 people, I was having problems with one address and Entourage would lock up. I wasn't even able to get the Force Quit dialog box to open.

Since then, I have not been able to open Entourage! Every time I try, the purple box that comes up in the beginning appears and then it locks up. The whole computer locks up. I can't even force quit anything.

I tried doing a disk utility verification and after a few short minutes, it says there is an error and it cannot continue.

I'm desperate to get this resolved! Please let me know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it.

Thanks,
CK

Hold down the Shift key when launching Entourage. This will disabled any
schedules that are trying to send messages. Open the Outbox and remove the
bad emails.
