Hello,

I'm using Entourage 2008. My time zones are off by one hour. I can not find an option that will allow me to configure Entourage to observe Daylight Savings Time. Any ideas?

Entourage uses the clock built into the Mac OS. Check your Daylight Savings
settings at Apple (menu) > System Preferences > Date & Time.

Hi Adam,

There is no way to configure Daylight Savings settings in the Systems Preferences > Date & Time window. You can only set your time zone.

Hi Adam,

There is no way to configure Daylight Savings settings in the Systems
Preferences > Date & Time window. You can only set your time zone.

After clicking on a time zone, select a city in the drop down list that's on
the same Daylight Saving schedule that you're on. For example, after
selecting US Mountain Time, I would click on Denver if my area goes on
Daylight time or Phoenix if it doesn't.

Thanks, Ed. I have already done this and still have the issue. When I pull up the Date/Time preferences in Entourage, I can set the default time zone. It shows Mountain as GMT -6 hours, which is correct, except during daylight savings time. My Calendar is in sync with the Mac's system clock. However, when I invite someone else to an appointment in Entourage, when they receive the invitation it is for GMT -6 which their calendar (usually Outlook) interprets as Central Daylight Time.

I have not been able to find anywhere in Entourage or OSX to explicitly set a DST offset.

What city in the Mountain Time zone have you selected? In OS X 10.5, DST is
controlled through city selection, not through an explicit switch.

Hi Ed,

It is set to Denver. Doesn't seem to be an OSX issue. Looks like it is an Entourage issue

Strange. The only other thing I can think of is to try going to the calendar
preferences in Entourage and making sure you have the time zone for new
events set to Mountain Time. If this doesn't make a difference, I'm out of
ideas.

I actually use Eastern time, but Entourage 2004 appears to show the correct
date and time on both sent and received messages -- and changes them when we
switch from Daylight to Standard time.

Hi Ed,

Sorry, if I wasn't clear in the previous note. Yes, I have the time zone for new events set to Mtn Time but is is showing as GMT -6 instead of GMT -7 to allow for DST. I am also using Entourage '08, so this may be a difference from what you see in Entourage '04

I had the same problem until I closed Entourage and relaunched it, now it is right. It must be because I always have it running.
