[EPM 2007] WAN access

Hi,

I have an operational EPM platform only accessible for LAN users. I want WAN
users to be able to access it.

What types of actions are required? Does anyone have already done that?

I guess some actions are to be realized in several field:

- port, Authorized
- SharePoint architecture (SSP, based on 80 port?)
- AD directory? (The users log on EPM with their AD account).

Hi Guillaume,

I actually completed this the other day, you prob what to make to use
of SSL, assgin a port for https for your pwa website, setup a domain.
if your using intergrated windows security then when your users login
they will be prompted to enter credentials.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Helps to have a better view of what I'll have to do.

Indeed my final result is to allow WAN users to login (prompt of
credentials) to this type of URL : httpS://servername/pwa
I confirm I am using integrated windows security. I didn't sat up a security
certificate.

So correct me if I am wrong, but I will have to realizie thes actions:

Use of SSL ==> assigns a port for https for my PWA website. ==> In IIS admin
interface?
Make IIS accept internet based connections and created and alternate access
mapping. ==> I guess it is In IIS admin interface too?

So everything is in IIS? Have anyone any support? (Step by step, guide, how
to,...)

Other relative’s questions:
Ziwez0 what type of action do you intend exactly by "to setup a domain "?
Will I have to set up a Security Certificate? How can i do this?
