Error 1327 Invalid unit C:\ when installing Office 2003

I posted this to the Office General Question group yesterday, but got a
response that it was wrong. I try this one instead.

When changing harddisk in my PC, the main disk was renamed from C:\ to I:\.
Now I can't install Office 2003 again. It states "Error 1327. Invalid unit
C:\". I get this message almost immediately when the installation starts.

I have tried to change C:\ in all setup.ini files, but it does not work. I
have also tried to add INSTALLLOCATION=I:\ in the setup.ini file.

Is there another way than to re-format my main drive and call it C:\?
