Error 16008 even after Office 2004 SP1 Upgrade

Hi,

A case has been open at Microsoft Tech Support Europe for over a week
now and they don't have any solution or workaround. There does not
seem to be anyone there with any knowledge of Entourage-Exchange
support. I'll sum up :

We have 10 Macs running MacOS 10.3.5 and using Entourage 2004 (with
SP1) connected to an Exchange Server 2003 (with SP1).

Users home directories reside on the server.

This happens with smb and afp mounted home directories (to mount home
directories with AFP we use Grouplogic ExtremeZIP)

One of the users has permanent 16008 errors a few minutes (sometime
seconds) after she opens and uses Entourage. Just before this happens
the message display pannel stops showing the message and says
something like "This message is in a language that can't be displayed"

Please, any ideas ?

I am not sure what the problem is but I do know that we had a similar
problem here and after hours of trying to find out what was up we realized
that we had 10 licenses and the 11th attempted connection was just screwing
up the whole system. When we had that corrected everything started to work
fine.
Hope this helps.

Hi,

Thanks but it's always the same user who gets the error and we have 25
licences.

An update : if the "Microsoft User Data" folder is moved to the hard
drive and an alias is placed in the network home directory the problem
does not occur anymore. This is clearly NOT a solution since we want
users to roam but it seems to indicate that when the mailbox reaches
150-200MB network homes don't work with Entourage.

Any, really any other thoughts ? A fix ?
