error 2755

I just reformatted my hard drive and installed Windows XP
Pro. When I try to install office XP Pro it terminates
prematurely and displays the occurance of Error 2755. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try changing the permissions on the Installer folder to
Everyone-Read Administrators-Full System-Full. Then try
reinstalling. This is from the MS knowledge base. You
might also need to download a special MS program for
uninstalling Office.

I have the same problem re installing Office 2000 on XP
Home. Unfortunately XP Home does not seem to have the
same permissions system that NT, 2000 and presumably XP
Pro have.
