Error 2908

I just had problems with my Windows installation so I had to repair the
install. Office 2003 didn't work right, so I uninstalled it and am trying to
reinstall it. However, everytime I get:

Error 2908. An internal error has occurred.
({53EB5CFB-3DAF-4890-ABCD-4895D28EAAAF} ) Contact
your Information Technology department of assistance.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just uninstalled the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and then
re-installed Office 2003 with NO problems...
