HI!
Any time I tried to insert a excel object in Power point,
I got a message says "This application must be installed.
PLease run Setup from the location where you originally
installed the app." In fact, I have both excel and PP
installed.
PLease help

Thanks

Is this PowerPoint version 4 or something newer?

Is this on a Windows machine?

If so which version?

Was Office installed with Admin privilages?

I suspect this is similar to the "server application" errors described
at http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00236.htm

I'll admit I'm a slug and don't keep up on the version numbers which
show up after service packs are applied, but if you've applied Service
Pack 2 for Office XP, that could be causing the problem here--especially
if you also have Norton AntiVirus installed.

Also, at the bottom of that link, you'll see info on linking to Excel
charts with more than 64 characters in the name. That could also be an
issue.
