Error Message "Cannot define field more than once"

I am getting a Access 2000 error message stating "Cannot define field more
than once" when importing a Dbase IV table into Access. I have imported the
exact table several times before. What does this error message mean and what
can I do to fix the problem. Thanks in advance.

Need more info.
What does the dBse file look like?
What are the field names?

FYI - dBase field names cannot be over 10 characters.
So if you have 2 similar names and one gets truncated it becomes a
"duplicate" field name.
