Error message when trying to utilize Word 2007 Previewer

Hi. When trying to select a Word document to preview (from my list of
existing Word documents), I keep getting an error message that says "This
file can't be previewed because of an error in the Microsoft Office Word
Previewer".

Any ideas how I can diagnose the problem and fix? Otherwise, the program is
running well.

Apparently this error is caused by Addins to MS Word. This is the workaround
I use.

Right Click on your Word icon
Click "properties"
Click "compatibility"
Check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for: [Windows XP
Service Pack 3]
Start Word
Your open dialog box will now resemble the environment in Windows XP. You
will sacrifice some of the options available in Windows 7, such as the
"organize" feature and the search feature. But you will be able to preview
your documents. Your Windows Explorer dialog box will not change.

Again, this is the workaround I use. You can also start Word 2007 without
addins (winword.exe /a), but that's not possible for me due to essential 3rd
party addins required by the firm I work for.

I hope that Microsoft is working on a solution to this problem for Word 2007
operating in the Windows 7 OS.
