Judging by the path, Word is trying to open the data file for the Smart Tag that
should recognize financial symbols (stock ticker abbreviations). I bet you
didn't even know Word had that feature. :)

If you don't care whether Word tags stock symbols, shut off the feature: Go to
Office button > Word Options > Proofing and click the AutoCorrect Options
button. In the dialog, click the Smart Tags tab. Uncheck "Financial symbol" in
the list (or turn off the whole Smart Tag feature by unchecking "Label text with
smart tags").

If you do want the symbols to be recognized, there's apparently something wrong
with your installation of Office. I find the stocks.dat file in the path
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Smart Tag\LISTS\1033. You could
try repairing the installation -- Go to Office button > Word Options > Resources
and click the Diagnose button.
