error while writing spool file

I have been having MAJOR issues with Entourage on a POP account. For some stupid reason 9 times out of 10 trying to send emails through the account gives me the "error while writing spool file" message. I can't get past it. We are sending ONE line of text to ONE email address. What the heck is wrong with this application? Mac Mail works perfectly on the SAME account. Just the Entourage has problems.

Talk to your provider. This is an error that is being generated by the
mail server.
