Event Time Zone (wrong?)

J

John Chavez

Hi Folks,

I recently got a message on the appointment header (in yellow) stating a
conflict in my computers time zone and the event time zone.

³Event Time zone: Pacific Time (US & Canada); Tijuana (Displayed)
Your computer¹s time zone: Central Time (US & Canada)²

My computer is set at Pacific. There is no conflict.

Why is it doing this?

Event Time Zone (wrong?)I am having this same problem with one of my
employees' macs... Entourage is reporting that the event time zone is
Eastern Time but that the computer's time zone is West Central Africa. I
have verified that the computer is most definitely set at Eastern Time. I
have already tried re-creating the Entourage preferences file, with no
change. Changing the computer's time zone also makes no difference as
Entourage still reports the computer's time Zone as West Central Africa even
after changing the computer's time zone to several other time zones.

Running on a Mac G5 OS X 10.4. Office and OS X are fully patched.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Rob Albertson

Download and install the latest Office 2004 updates, which are the Office
2004 11.3.3 & 11.3.4 updates.

In Office 2004, use Microsoft AutoUpdate to get the latest updates. From
any Office application, go to Help > Check for Updates (or manually launch
Microsoft AutoUpdate from the Applications folder). If any updates are
needed, they will display in a sheet, at which point you can check them and
press the "Install" button to download and install them.

Updates can also be found at the Microsoft web site:

I am having the same problem....Entourage says me events are in the
Eastern Time Zone, and my computer is set to Pacific. Events show up
in the correct time slot on the calendar, but it is confusing when I
open a meeting and see it starting in Eastern time. I have all of the
Office updates.

Go to Entourage > Preferences, and, under "General Preferences", click
"Calendar". Under "Default time zone", make sure the correct time zone is
selected.

For events already created, did you make sure that the correct time zone is
selected for individual events under Event > Time Zone?
