Excel 2007 SP1 /Vista Enterprise - Autorecover has been disabled .

Spooner

Hi,

I have a user who when he has a normal Excel workbook open and populated
with test data gets "An unexpected error has occourred. AutoRecover has been
disabled for this session of Excel"

We have Autorecover set to 10 mins and saved back the users home drive on a
server. Before the message appears there is also something in the Excel
toolbar about 'unbundling'.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks,
Spooner

Hi Spooner,

server. Before the message appears there is also something in the Excel
toolbar about 'unbundling'.

What happens if you change the location for the autorecovery files?

I have the same issue with Excel 2007. The auto-recovery has been disabled
and is now greyed out, I cannot turn it back on. Any suggestions on how to
activate this feature again.

Maybe your Excel section in the registry has gone haywire.

First, lets try and have Excel fix it:

1. Choose start (Start button), Run, type:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE" /unRegserver

2. Choose start (Start button), Run, type:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE" /Regserver
