Having issues with Office 2007 on Windows 7 machines, where the user has a
migrated profile using the Win 7 Migration wizard originating from a XP or
Vista PC with Office 2003 or XP to the new machine.
Word or Excel will crash for these users when editing a document or
spreadsheet.
but another test account that has no migrated profile cannot duplicate that
error.
also if the new pc has an office app (such as Access) that was not present
in the older profile (ex. Office 2003 SB migrats to 2007 Pro) that is not
affected but the Excel or Word apps are. Outlook is immune, also.
Testing indicates new test accounts with identical group
memberships/permissions have no errors, just migrated profiles/users. test
accounts were copies of the accounts generating errors, on machines in
question.
