Hi,
Can I exclude a resource from leveling in my project schedule? The only
thing I've come up with is to create a cost resource with zero cost and
assign it to the task. It is a zero cost resource for me as the work is
being done by another trade so I need to manually enter the start/end and
updates for this task so my dependent tasks stay on track. I need this as
resource because some tasks are done jointly with us and them. Just want to
know if there is a better way to handle this. Thanks.

Hi Michael,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

In the Resource Sheet, Insert/Column... and select Can Level. Then, for the
appropriate resource, click the default Yes and select No. That should do
it. You might like to see help by hovering your mouse over the column
heading and selecting Help.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Mike,
Thanks! I did the help file and googled; was reading a few pages where they
said that was an option but I thought it might be on a different version.
