Exporting Database drawings to Visio

Hi everybody,

I was able to export a drawing in Visio 03 into Excel 03 and modify the
database back to Visio drawing. However, when going back to Visio, all
shapes in my drawings reformat to the center of the page. Any idea why?

I'm going to make an educated guess (since you said you modified the drawing
in excel) that you imported as a metafile. Visio shapes can be modified using
that mechanism, but they lose all of their smarts during the process so you
don't get to round trip them and expect them to work.

But no. I did export the database into excel not the graphics.

are you using the database wizard where a drawing is linked to an external
source (in your case excel)?
