fixed uniqtes? fixed work?

Joy

we have to replace Actual Work and Remaining Work with some values.
do we have to set Default task type to be "fixed work"??

we used fixed unites, and sometimes, after copying, the values in Actual and
Remaining Work are not exactly the same as what we like them to be.

like
if we use fixed units

we have values 0.2, 0.5, copy them to Act and Rem Work respectively.

before that, We have a task: Duration: 2, %complete: 0%, Act: 0, Rem: 2

then when we copy 0.5 to Rem first

then we copy 0.2 to Act,

at the time, Act is changed to 0.2, but Rem is changed to 0.3. -- not what
we want

if we copy 0.2 to Act first,Rem is automatically set to 1.8
then, we copy 1.8 to Rem, we get Act: 0.2,Rem: 0.5, which is what we want.

thanks

Hi,

The task type doesn't change that. That is the behavior. So now you know:
first actuals, then remaining to get what you want.
