It depends to a great extent on how you're storing the values to begin with,
but the most likely place to start is with the =CONVERT() function which
you'll find described in Excel Help. Once the values are converted to the
same unit of measurement the summing is no problem, but you [or Excel] can't
just add "1.73 feet plus 42.4 inches".
