Free windows - ad supported.

Apologies for the off topic post but I can't find a Windows equivalent of
this area.

A free version of Windows would have a lot of benefits.

1. Overnight creation of one of the largest advertising bases in the world.

2. A major reduction in piracy (not elimination - just reduction)

3. A short circuiting of the arms race between the people who write the
activation protection mechanisms and the crackers

4. The creation of a legal alternative for developing markets and third
world countries

5. lots more (linux, apple, etc)
