It is not really being discontinued
It is essentially being split into 2 different "new" products for 2 different markets/users

| After using FrontPage for almost ten years and watching it evolve into an
| industry-leading web development product, I still do not understand
| Microsoft's rational for abandoning this product.

| BTW: I am still using PhotoDraw 2000 and Image Composer, and both of these
| products were withdrawn from the marketplace several years ago. It is likely
| that I will be using FrontPage 2003 long past the 2007/2008 timeframe.
