graphical indicators not showing in Project Center - P@2007

Hi-

I've seen several posts on this problem, but have not found a solution that
is working for me.

I've created Project Level Custom fields (PS 2007), both formula based and
dropdown list based. I've created graphical indicators for both. I've
created a Project Center View displaying the Custom Fields. I've opened my
project, hit F9, and published. When I go to Project Center, only the text
shows up in the view, not the graphical indicator. I've tried this with the
graphical indicators defined at (1) the Project Summary level and (2) the
non-summary level and used the "inherit from non-summary rows" and "inherit
from summary rows" buttons selected.

My graphical indicators still do not display in Project Center.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Beth,

Try going into 'Edit Project Properties' for the project in Project Center.
Then perform a 'Save and Publish' and when you go back into Project Center,
your text is replace by the indicator.

Let me know if that worked for you.

Interesting result. For the dropdown list Custom Field, the graphical
indicator displayed. However, for the formula based Custom Field, it is now
completely blank (no graphical indicator or text showing).

When I publish from PP again, the original result returns: text responses
in both Custom Fields.

Do you have a similar situation (ie, disparate formula vs. dropdown list
responses)?

every time when I follow the process I just gave you.

Did your problem ever get resolved? I have the same problem you reported - a
graphical indicator in Project Center for Finish Variance is showing 27d
instead of the colored graphic. I tried the instructions in this disussion
thread as far as publishing the plan in MS Project and editing project
properties in Project Center and doing a Save and Publish from there - no
luck.

I am wondering if you ever got this working -

Hi RQ-

Just saw your question - don't know if you already have an answer on this.
For me, I've seen two results:

1) on my client's system when I originally posted this, I noticed the
problem was with Custom Fields in which I had a space in the name, ie,
Schedule Indicator. I resolved the problem by putting an underscore in place
of the space. Go figure.

2) on my currect client's system, I do not see the problem at all in
Project Center, but in Project Details views, the indicators do not show up
at all (or the text). Replacing the spaces with underscores does not fix the
problem (so I'm back on this group looking for more info)
