Groove 07 compatibility

I have a question. One person in the office is thinking about upgrading his
current Groove version 3.1 to Groove 07. However, all of the other users
will stick to the current 3.1 version. Are those two versions compatible?
,meaning are we going to be able to share files and use all the other
functionalities with that user through Groove even though we have the older
version?
