Handwriting in pictures

Sometimes I want to add some notes that I have written on a piece of
paper into OneNotes. I scan the picture and paste it into the
appropriate OneNote location. However, I find that the handwriting
recognition in these "pictures" is far worse than the recognition of
handwriting I do directly into OneNote on my tablet PC. Why is there
such a difference? Is there any way to make handwriting recognition
in my scanned-in notes as good as the handwriting recognition by
writing directly in OneNote in my TabletPC?

Thanks!

Hello,

A long winded explanation is here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/johnguin/arch...gnizing-text-in-images-luckily-goes-awry.aspx

In short, though, when you "ink" with a pen on a page, we get information
about the pen stroke. Starting point, end point, direction of travel, etc...
This information makes handwriting recognition possible using that
information. Text from images is much different - we only have shapes to go
on, and need a different set of logic for that.
