I have Publisher 2002. I have the need to put many photos of art on one page
of the site I am designing. How would you suggest I best do this? I have
used limited 3rd party htp slideshows from slide.com, photobucket etc on our
myspace page, but is there any way I can incorporate those into my publisher
website and if so, how?

I really don't have any experience with the sites that you are using, but
some of them provide a link to the slide show on their sites, that you can
insert into a Publisher web, using the insert html code fragment tool. Also,
if they give you a link to a site where your slide shows are now, it is also
possible to import those to a page on your Publisher web using an iframe.

Also there are lots of javascript slide shows available...just google for
"javascript slide show code". Here is an example of a site that generates
the code for you, and was offered the last time this subject came up:

The question of how to use a PowerPoint slide show in a Publisher web has
come up before, and most recently in the thread:

Addressing Publisher IFrame to link Power Point Slide Show for web, Jan.
15th by LoriLee. Read that thread and you will see that she ultimately
abandoned the idea of using PP for this purpose.

A better idea is to use a javascript based slide show such as the one
referenced in this thread, or JAlbum, and other javascript slide shows. A
recent thread that describes that process and how you can import the slide
show into an Iframe would be:

Slide Show by Terry Bennett Jan. 21.

Read those two threads for information about using PP and for other ideas of
using javascript slide shows.
