Start by creating a separate project called "Resource Pool". Only enter
your resource list in this project. Create resource calendars, etc.
Then, create your individual project files. After you're created and
saved them and are ready to assign resources, do a "Tools, Resource
Sharing, Share Resources". In the Share Resouces dialog box all
currently open files will be listed. Tell each project to share
resources with "Resource Pool".
Assign resources to tasks on each project.
If you look at any resource view, you'll see all that resources
assignments across all projects.
Close the Resource Pool and reopen it. It will give you 3 options.
Select the third option, "Create Master Project from Resource Pool". It
will then create a project containing all your other projects. You can
see all tasks in the same view and all assignments will be shown in the
appropriate views.
