How do I create rotation like hands on a clock?

I would like to create an animation where one end of the an arrow remains
stationary and the other rotates, similar to the hands on a clock. I can only
see how to make the whole of the arrow follow the motion path I have created
though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

I have now found the "Spin" animation but this does not allow me to choose
the path; it only rotates in a circle. I want the end of my arrow to describe
an elipse.

I am trying to animate a vector (arrow) against three coordinate axes. The
vector should precess around the z axis (vertical), hence the eliptical path.

The trick is to group your arrow with another arrow (the 'other' arrow has
no fill or outline color). The other arrow is also a mirror of the visible
arrow.

Sort of like on arrow is pointing to 12 midnite,

the other arrow is pointing to 6 o'clock

make the 12 midnite arrow invisible, group it with the 6 o'clock arrow, then
it will rotate around the middle of the clock.
