How do I edit a formula without double-clicking on the cell?

I'm new to Excel on the Mac. I'm used to the PC where I can hit F2 to edit a formula. I can't figure out how to do it on the Mac. I've even tried changing function keys to standard function keys in System Preferences and F2 seems to copy the cell or something. Help!

A number of keystrokes are preempted by OS X for such apps as Exposé but
most can be disabled through the appropriate System Preferences. You can
then reassign them in apps such as Excel if you wish.

The one you're looking for to edit a cell, though, already exists: Control+U
