How do I lock multiple Word text boxes together?

My document in Word 2007 is a letter on letterhead. The letterhead banner,
the BOD listing, the address, phone number, etc. at the bottom of the
letterhead, and the content of the letter are all in individual text boxes.

When I try to do an e-mail mail merge, the letter ends up on one page, the
address, etc., ends up at the top of the page, and the BOD listing is on an
entirely separate page. In other words, the text boxes jump all over the
place.

I've tried locking each individual text box to try and keep it in place but
the same result as above occurs. I want everything all on the same page when
I do my mail merge.

If I'm on the wrong track or if there is another way to accomplish my goal
other than a global lock, please let me know.

If appearance is important, you should be sending .pdf files as attachments.

See the “Individual Merge Letters†item on fellow MVP Graham Mayor’s website
at:

http://www.gmayor.com/individual_merge_letters.htm

The add-in that you can download from there can create individual .pdf files
from your mail merge. Then you can send them out as attachments using the
method in the article "Mail Merge to E-mail with Attachments" at:

Once you merge for email, you effectively have an HTML document and in HTML
there are no pages. So as Doug says, if the email MUST be laid out like a
letter, then PDF is the only solution.

However, if you can redesign the email letter layout, then forget about
using Text boxes and simply have a banner across the top that includes all
the relevant information and logo, etc
