how do i remove 'Recently Browsed' photos from Picture Manager

I do NOT refer to pictures that come from web browsing. I refer to a
particular folder of photos in my own computer that I want to keep private,
but they come up in the Recently Browsed folder in Picture Manager. When I
delete from here, it deletes the pictures from my computer altogether.

If you want to remove the "mru" reference, you may remove the entire
line pointing to it from the "catalog file" named OIScatalog.cag
You can open it in Notepad and delete the entire line of the location
that you don't want to appear.

It will be found in the folder called "C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\OIS", so you
will need to change your folder settings to show Hidden and System
folders to get to it.
