I am running Outlook 2003 (11.8118.8112) SP2, which I believe is up to date,
and the program crashes every 30 minutes or so. Each time it asks me if I
wish to send an error report to Microsoft and I do so. I have looked through
these reports, which are mostly gibberish, and they give me no insight into
what is causing the crashes. I have checked for updates, I have uninstalled
and reinstalled the program, and nothing seems to help. When I ran Norton
Utilities they claimed that some .dll files were missing, such as msvcr80.dll
and msvcp80.dll. The computer still crashes, but now instead of hanging,
requiring a hard reboot, I can simply shut down and restart outlook.
I had been running outlook for years with no problem. Any ideas as to what
program may have caused this conflict and how to fix it more completely?
