How do you resize a curved line without bending and distorting?

How do you protect a curved line's shape on resize?

I have several curved lines with arrow caps that need to be resized.
Took a while to get their shape right. Now that I've changed print
page size, all needs to be shrunk.

Open the Size Position window and select the shape. You can change the size
by entering a formula into the Height and Width boxes.

For example if the height box says 24.6 in and you need to adjust by 50%.
Select the value in the cell and then place the cursor at the end (without
the value selected) and then type "*.5" and press enter.

For a 2d shape you will have to do both H and W, for 1d you should only need
to change the length.

Rather than shrinking the drawing, have you tried this: goto Page Setup >
Page Size tab. Select either Pre-defined or custom size. Set this to your
original drawing size. Then go to Print Setup tab, select the desired page
size, and then under Print zoom select Fit to 1 sheet by 1 sheet.

The printer will reduce everything to fit the smaller output page size. You
don't need to do anything to your existing drawing.

Thanks for your help. Neither of these approaches work though. The
first using the Size & Position window causes the same curve
distortion.

The second approach may print the items smaller but will not solve my
problem. I am trying to resize an object within an existing drawing.
There is text and other items that do not need to be resized. Resize
works for everything except the curved lines, which do distort when
resized. Here is a link to a copy of the document:

The goal is to resize (shrink) only the diagram on the first page. It
is too large.

Nice drawing. This should work with minimal effort. Use the line tool and
draw a straight line from end to end of one of your arrow segments. Switch
to pencil tool and grab the center control point of the line segment and drag
it onto the center-ish of your arrow shape. The line will have ~same
curvature as your original. Add double arrow heads, set the line weight to
12 pt and re-color. Delete original arrow shape. Repeat for the remaining
shapes. That ought to take care of your re-sizing problem.

Marvelous! That took 5 minutes compared to 30 minutes last time.
Thanks.
