how load office home and student 2007 on laptop runing trial versi

Have trial version of Office 2007 running on laptop. Just bought cd copy . We
were able to load it on to the desktop without probelm as the trial version
was not activated. But when we went to load it on to the laptop with the
trial activated it keeps reverting to the trial version. How do we
successfully overcome this and load the purchased copy.

You uninstall the trial first, before installing any cd version, it matters
not that the trial isnt activated
