how to calculate compound interest ?

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I would like to put in a spread sheet a compounded rate of return calculator that the user would only have to put in present value, time period, interest rate

Example: $25,000 present value
              1% interest rate
              22 number of days
         $??,??? Future value

can you help me? Please . .

Have you looked at the FV() & FVSCHEDULE() functions? If so you'll need to
explain why neither of them will do the job. Details on both are in Excel
Help. Nobody can offer a possible alternative if they don't know why the
conventional methods don't work.
