How to I customise the legend (for the Gantt Chart) in Project 200

I am using MS Project 2003 (Professional) and am trying to modify the legend
(key) at the bottom of report for the Gantt Chart. I know how to remove the
legend and modify the text of the legend labels, but am trying to remove
items from the legend that are not present in the Gantt. Essentially, I want
the legend to accurately reflect the symbols and bar types etc used in the
Gantt that I am reporting. Help Please !

Go to format menu, choose barstyles. Either delete the unused barstyles from
the list or put an asterisk in front of the ones you do not want to show up.
For example if you have one called "Critical" then name it
"*Critical" and it won't show up in the legend.

Thanks JackD. That response was really quick and exactly what I was after
:))

Do you also know how to add icons for the status indicators to the legend ??
(ie those which aren't included in the 'Shapes' available under the
'Barstyles' menu, such as the calculated indicators which specify that a task
is Complete [a check mark], On Schedule [a clock with a check mark], or Late
[a clock with an exclamation point]) ??

I don't think you can include those in the legend, but I've never tried
either.
