When I paste a Word table into Powerpoint 2003 as a "M$ Office Word
Document Object", I can double-click it and edit it as if I was in
Word. I can also resize the object, which is a real beauty.
I am seeking to able to do the same thing with things pasted from
powerpoint. That is, I would like to paste-special a collection of
copied objects from a powerpoint slide, but paste it as a single
object that I can resize. I was looking for something similar to the
above in the paste-special menu, perhaps something called "M$ Office
Powerpoint Document Object". No such luck. Currently, to get group
resizing capability, I paste the collection of ppt objects as an
enhanced metafile. It's a pain because I have to maintain a copy of
the objects in an auxiliary file (or in a scratchpad section of my
presentation slides). Also, every time I want to modify the content
of the slide into which it is pasted, I have to go back to the
original collection of objects, make the modification there, repaste
it as enhanced metafile, and reposition & resize it.
Thanks for any solutions, or even for the confirmation that there is
no solution. I am operating in Windows XP SP3.
