How to remove 2 sides of a text box?

I am trying to type a "legal" type document and at the top left of page it
requires, sort of like a box, well half a box (with some text inside of the
box)but not a complete box, just the right verticle side and the bottom
horizontal line connected.

I go to insert text box and create my box with the words in it but I can't
figure out how to delete just 2 sides of the box?? The whole box deletes. I
want it to look similar to this below but the two verticle
l
______________l
right lines would be connected. Can someone help me? Thanks!

There may be another way to do this, but you could try inserting a single cell
table instead (a table with 1 row and 1 column). Then select the table and
change the Borders and Shading option to include just the right and bottom
borders...

Use a table cell; you can apply borders to that selectively. Or a frame,
ditto.
