I have inserted a photograph from my camera into Powerpoint. It is
sideways at the moment.
How do I rotate it so that it is upright on the PowerPoint slide?

Thanks friends Jim

Jim,
You do not mention the PowerPoint version. So I will assume you use
PPT2002/2003.
When you inserted the photograph, or when you select it, there should be a
little green circle at the top, hover your mouse over it and a circular
arrow will appear, drag with it in the direction you want to rotate it. When
you press shift while dragging you can rotate it at an angle, when you press
ctrl while dragging it will rotate around it's axe.
You can also access the drawing toolbar, click on draw, choose rotate or
flip, choose from the possibilities given.

There are several ways of archieving this. Another option would be to right
click on the picture, click Format Picture > Size.
Under the size and rotate, there is a rotation setting for you to modify.
Modify the setting to your own preference.
