How to "wrap text" for summary tasks when printing-project 2000

When my project is displayed on screen, i increase the row height of the
longer summary tasks to display extra lines under each other(like wrap text
in excel). But when I check the print preview it keeps the text on one line
and cuts off what doesn't fit, it also prints it like that. How do I format
it so it prints the summary tasks as if i've used a text wrap fuction?

Please see FAQ Item: 44. Printing Problems.

What version of Project are you using? It works fine on my installation of
2003 SP3

Hi,Thanks for the reply but I'm still not getting it right. I have project
2000. I checked the printer FAQ and I've tried playing around with the
settings in setup but no change. My normal view shows the summary tasks
correctly but my print preview cuts off the ends of longer summary tasks, the
subtasks are shown correctly and prints correctly. When the summary task is
very long I increase the row height then the extra text slots in underneath
each other. But on print preview it's kept in one line and is longer then my
column. I can't increase the column width as all my columns won't fit on the
page. I've tried reducing the % of normal size but it still cuts off the ends
of the tasks.

Hi,

It happens with all the projects that I start from scratch. I have an old
project on my pc that was emailed to me that doesn't have this problem, it
prints correctly, I've gone through both projects settings and formats and
tried to get them exactly the same but my project still has the problem. I
even deleted all text from the old project and copy/paste my project text
into it then it prints fine. I could keep using the old project as a template
but it's really bothering me that I can't fix this silly problem.

Hi clueless,

I'm facing the same problem. It seems a misbehavior of microsof
project. I've solved the problem by resizing all the lines to height
selecting all project (you can do that by clicking in the upper lef
cell) then back all single ones to height 1 manually (it helps if yo
sellect all of them with control pressed).

For some reason doesn't work backwards.

Hope it helps. If someone knows an easier way to do that..
